Traditional values, new technologies
Although we are proud to have been pioneers in the application of advanced engineering technologies, and whilst we continue to invest heavily in this area, our business philosophy is founded by marrying the progressive with, what might be called good old fashioned values. Quite simply we have found no better substitute for traditional skills and experience.
Our approach, whilst keenly attuned to contemporary market demands, is rooted in tried and tested principles - pride in a job well done, close attention to detail, respect for our clients' deadlines, and a genuine striving for consistent quality.
In a changing world, we believe it is these attributes, as well as the skill and dedication of our workforce, which will always form the basis of successful, enduring business relationships and which put the real meaning into QUALITY ASSURANCE.
A resourceful solutions provider
We are a company that can be relied upon to find a solution for our customers' engineering problems. Because of our resourcefulness, and because we are not afraid to take the initiative with customers, our relationships with them have often been retained over many years. With our long manufacturing experience, we are able to contribute an added value. Many of our customers have gained through our pro-active support and by the effective integration of the complementary resources at our disposal. Whilst there are numerous instances to illustrate this approach, two projects stand out to us as models of good practice.
When we were asked to machine castings for a pump bearing housing for one of our customers, we identified problems in the design and quality of the castings with which we were supplied. We proposed design improvements and were asked to make a prototype unit which then went into production.
We now handle the whole project; we sourced a foundry which met the manufacturing specifications and now buy in castings which are then machined and assembled to our customer's scheduled orders. Deliveries are made to them ready for them to despatch in fully completed state.
This procedure has been developed on a bigger scale for another customer who markets a highly specialised piece of equipment which collects sea bed and river bed samples. Our customer had none of the technical skills to translate their idea into a workable form and needed a company which could proceed, with minimal input from them, through to a finished product.
After designing, prototyping and testing, we moved into production and now supply components which have proved perfect for the task and 100% reliable when exposed to the wide variety of environmental conditions to which they are subjected world wide.
